STORY OF EWA
The founder of EWA had a positive career that led him into the home inspection business. His personal life was a clear path leading into inspections. His career started many years ago, before he realized the path he had followed. Upon graduation from high school, he personally built his own house from the ground up.
After being in the work force for several years, he entered the armed services where he gained valuable knowledge as a construction surveyor. After that time of duty ended, he determined to become an engineer.
When he entered the School of Engineering at USC, he was set to graduate as a civil engineer. Little did he know that the part-time job with the operations and maintenance department on campus would prepare him for his inspection career. The campus job entailed inspecting buildings, houses, dorms, and other facilities, as well as writing reports and sometimes doing record plans. Another task included survey and layout of the first portion of the Trojan wall that later surrounded the campus.
As an independent, licensed general contractor, he formed a construction and design company. This was a good foundation for his inspection career. At the beginning, he dug foundation trenches, poured concrete, and did carpentry, electrical, plumbing and all other crafts to build a house or building. During his construction phase, he completed approximately 2,000 remodeling projects along with the construction of some commercial, residential, and small tract developments.
After this wide assortment of specific construction tasks, he formed EWA Home Inspections in 1993. It grew in a short time period and now has a full time office staff and a number of inspector's in the field.
Just recently, EWA has graduated into expanded ownership and more associates to meet the needs of our clients. We at EWA are here to serve our clients and continue to meet their inspection requirements.
